| Abstract: | In recent years variational methods have been successfully applied to the n-body problem to prove the existence of miscellaneous solutions. In this series of talks I will briefly describe the history and outline some progresses on the 3-body problem. In particular, I will discuss the figure-8 orbit, retrograde orbits, and some satellite orbits for the 3-body problem. |
