Abstract: 1.We study one-dimensional motion of compressible inviscid gas under gravity. and establish long-time existence of true solutions, for which a time-periodic function around an equilibrium is the first approximation. Usual iteration for quasilinear wave equation doesn't work and application of Nash-Moser theory is necessary because of the loss of regularities which comes from the free boundary of the equilibrium touching the vacuum.
